Freeriders! It’s time to venture your first steps to New Horizons! This first update focuses on player customization, the on-going tweaks and additions to the game’s audio, and some more.
Sledders Steam News Post
Sledders updates their game with Part 1 from the 2 updates covering new custom wrap support for both Helmets & Suits, updated engine sounds and adaptive environmental ambiances for all times and weathers.
Next to getting new custom wrap support in they also overhauled the mod.io categories to allow better browsing. New options include being able to categorize wraps by sled type and manufacturer.
Sledders has been quite popular on mod.io following the addition of it to consoles, where Xbox Series and PlayStation players can change up their skins and wraps.
The next part of the New Horizons update on the roadmap as seen as below will drop later this summer, with a date unannounced yet.
It will have big additions such as the Fuel System, which makes the freeride game a bit more simulator for people that like that extra part of realism!
Modders, stay tuned as the expanded custom map tools will be dropping in that 2nd part most likely.
- Physics-based deep snow riding
- Huge open backcountry maps to explore
- Licensed sleds from Lynx, Polaris, and Ski-Doo
- Multiplayer with dedicated servers
- Proximity voice chat
