From cowboy hats to a mechanical bull, The Hague proved it could out-country itself twice in one weekend.
The day was filled with good music, tons of people, and even a mechanical bull, a nice addition in between the stage switches.
As announced yesterday, Hannah Juanita took on the Mildred Stage with some of her best songs.
Before getting to the performances, the mechanical bull called Thomas, operated by no one other than Thomas, took on some riders that either flew off on the first bull jump or set a record, such as the Texan that took his chance to show the real American skills while setting a time of 1 minute and 35 seconds. You could really see the difference in form and practice.

Starting the day off with The Porchville Stringband and ending with Money & The Man, it does show a wide variety of artists playing during the Wild Rooster Festival.
Luckily the stages and the full terrace had protection from the short rain shower that happened; even after weeks of 30°C, they’re well prepared over at the Grote Markt.
Hannah Juanita performed over at the Mildred stage of the Zwarte Ruiter, alongside Mose Wilson, where the two both sang their latest collaboration cover of Moe’s single, ‘Louisiana Two-Step’. They drew a great crowd, and their music was enjoyed all the way up to the terrace.
While the rest of the evening we let the Bud flow and ate some great food over at Hoender en Hop the music continued over the multiple stages, proving overall that Grote Markt is a great place to connect and meet up with many of the activities and different parties & festivals they host. And that all for free!
The Grote Markt outdid itself once more, showing they host all kinds of crowds, and the event felt very secure with the stewards alongside the square.
The logistics were very well done; they have been doing this since 2012, so I’m wondering what next year will host as it nears its 15th anniversary.

The prices were very fair for the cow shirt, being 15, and the yearly T-shirt, being 25. After the last performance, last call is around 1AM, and the terraces fully close around 2AM. Of course, there are more things to explore in The Hague.
