Gone Viral is a game Developed by Skullbot Games and Akupara Games.
Skullbot Games was created for a simple purpose – to handcraft the kinds of games that geek them out.
Skullbot was founded by ex-AAA veterans responsible for games like Wildstar, Guild Wars, Diablo III, City of Heroes, and many others.
Akupara Games is an indie game studio based in Los Angeles, California. Composed of veterans of the game industry, Akupara Games focuses its energy and resources as an “indie for indies” studio by providing premier support to other indie studios through development, publishing, porting and advising.
It is a one of a type Rogue-Lite Dungeon Crawler that brings something new.
The Early Access has just been released and Gone Viral can be tested via either G.Round, GameJolt, or Steam.
Gone Viral is currently only out for PC, if they will port to consoles is not stated at the moment.
The Tagline that they use is “put the MUTATE in MUTILATE and the GORY in GLORY!” and that describes the game pretty well.
Gone Viral is set inside a mutant post-apocalypse society that so glorifies violence and social media that the ultimate hybrid of the two has become the cornerstone of their entertainment – in the form of the most brutal gameshow ever devised.
Gone Viral puts the player in the shoes of a “contestant” on that gameshow – a nomad without ties to their sadistic culture who’s been captured and will now be forced to fight for their life.
While slashing your way through the dungeons, find mutations and treasure as your fans
decide how to spice your run, up.
You can check what mutations, weapons, armors, and much more there are and what they do in the Murderpedia, a pretty harsh encyclopedia on how to murder your enemies.
Gone Viral features randomly-generated levels, over-the-top violence, and physics-based combat that thrives on combos to unleash devastating brutality on your enemies.
Become the apocalypse’s greatest SOCIAL MURDIA STAR as you amass a following in-game or IRL. “IRL!?” you say? That’s right!
Now introducing Twitch Integration that lets you invite your audience to take part in the world of Gone Viral as Fans who can vote to either help or hinder you.
For accessibility settings, the game lets you turn off the camera shake and lets you remap your buttons/controls. There are no other accessibility settings stated in the game at the moment and if they are going to be implemented.
