Published by Headup Games, a studio where we did a playtest and published the article about Tinkertown game tasting for, made Halloween spooky with our Pumpkin Jack game tasting, and built bridges in the Bridge Constructor The Walking Dead game tasting.
Headup is a hybrid games publishing and development company providing players worldwide with the best content in the independent gaming sector. Established in 2009, it is active on all major platforms such as consoles, mobile devices, and PC.
This game was in early test phases over at G.Round as well, where we playtested this game before it released to Steam!
The game was developed by Elder Games (eldgames.com), an independent game development venture founded in 2007 by developer Ede Tarsoly. He is responsible for game design, programming, and music himself and he collaborates with external freelancers to help realize his projects.
You are a dark wizard who shouldn’t have tinkered with magic and spells way too powerful for you. But you did. And this time you messed up really bad: You’ve unleashed The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and their minions upon the World! Well done…
So hurry, grab your magical cards and send them all back to their hellish dimension before the Apocalypse destroys everyone and everything – and much more importantly, before the old wizard council discovers what you have done…
You can get Cardaclysm right now over at Cardaclysm on Steam.
Every level is different, it features different biomes, different enemies, and different equipment. Slay all enemies in a level to unlock the portal back to your dimension, but watch out! Run like the wind, before the end boss will catch you. You can encounter 5 factions and over 240 cards. The game features 5 unique bosses that you will have to battle.
Cardaclysm features a turn-based card battle system, where you will have to explore and earn new cards to build a better deck. In the combat, you will see that you need to spend golden runes to put down a card, it also shows the health and attack of the card you are playing.
After each battle, you will get a chest full of loot, that features loot like cards to advance further within the game.
If you explored the whole map and won against all the monsters, and the portal opens up, you can get back to your own dimension and visit the pub. Here you can complete challenges and trade cards.
You can also store your excess spells in your personal chest until you use them in your next epic card battle against the forces of the dark realms.
Next to exploring, battling monsters, and running from the bosses, you can also collect over 40 artifacts for your hero. Cardaclysm features an RPG-like equipment system, where you can collect better gear that will influence your battles.
The equipment will change your cosmetic as well, you have limited slots so be sure to check what you need to keep.
For accessibility, Cardaclysm has a V-Sync option, but that is about it for now.
